The 15th Chocolate Festival will fill Opatija with the aromas and flavors of everyone's favorite sweet food, presented in exclusive gastronomic editions. And not only gastronomic, because chocolate will sweeten all the experiences of visitors to Opatija from 3 to 5 December, from relaxing in wellness centers to rocking on the waves of the Opatija waters.
Although announced, the Chocolate Magic Fair planned in the Crystal Hall of the Kvarner Hotel for epidemiological reasons, but unfortunately also due to the inability of some exhibitors due to illness, will not be held in its current form. Instead, the novelty of this year’s Chocolate Festival is Choco Street which will be held on the conveniently arranged promenade Slatina and will bring together producers of chocolate delicacies from Slovenia, Italy and Croatia. Choco Street will be open Friday, Dec. 3 from 14 to 20 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 4 from 9 a.m. to 20 p.m., and Sunday, Dec. 5 from 9 to 19 p.m.
Opatija chocolate factory Millennium Choco World, where you can buy and taste top chocolate products, will be ruled by the magician Willy Wonka, who will be embodied by the famous Croatian illusionist Andrej Škedel and his magic will win over all small, and even slightly larger, lovers of chocolate and magic.
Chocolate aromas will conquer all Advent locations in Opatija: Chocolate Advent near Šporer, Choco Imperial Xmas, Choco Xmass Street Lungomare, Choco Straus and enrich the offer of all Opatija hoteliers and caterers.
For the first time, chocolate will sail the sea waves along Choco Advent aboard the Jadera which will connect the panoramic ride from Volosko to Opatija with the enjoyment of traditional holiday delicacies.
Enjoying chocolate will be accompanied by an attractive musical background at five locations, humanitarian programs, animation and entertainment for children, but also numerous sports and recreational facilities. They will leave on Saturday, December 4 at 10 a.m. in front of Villa Angiolina active choco walk through the history of Opatija, and an hour later in Slatina all those interested will be able to join the exercise program Christmas Active with the celebrated coach Marija Mlinarić.
- Chocolateand Opatija have been inseparable for 15 years, and the first weekend in December is traditionally reserved for enjoying sweet delicacies and the accompanying offer offered by the Chocolate Festival. Although we have changed the programs several times and adapted to the situation, we believe that our visitors will enjoy the customized, sweetest Opatija weekend with numerous programs that we have prepared. Sweeten the end of the year with top chocolate delicacies and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the Most Beautiful Advent by the sea, called the director of the Tourist Board of the city of Opatija Suzi Petričić, noting that all programs are organized in accordance with epidemiological measures.
