From Zagreb by Ryanair directly to 19 destinations - the Canary Island of Lanzarote attracts the most attention

Zagreb is connected to 19 European destinations by Ryanair planes in the winter flight schedule, one more than last winter, and optimistic expectations are also related to the increase in the number of passengers.

Starting this winter, Zagreb will be connected with Ryanair planes Canary Islands more precisely with Lanzarote, which means that this airline will connect the capital of Croatia with a total of 19 European destinations. An increase in the number of flights on already existing lines for Basel, Dublin, Gothenburg, Malaga, Malta, Memmingen and Paris, Ryanair announced.

It was the line to the Canary Island of Lanzarote that attracted the most attention. Zagreb will have a direct line to the most special island of Canary in Atlantic. This Spanish island attracts with its charm, volcanic landscape that merges with the sea, and the island is also known for its excellent wines from vineyards located in the volcanic soil.

Lanzarote has more than 100 volcanoes, and the most impressive ones are located in Timanfaya National Park where there are as many as 25 craters. A special attraction is the El Diablo restaurant, where food is prepared exclusively using the natural heat of the earth.

Lanzarote is like the other Canary Islands year-round destination. It is coldest in January, and the hottest in August, but even in the winter months, expect a pleasant spring temperature.

Ryanair's winter flight schedule starts at the end of October 2023 and lasts until the end of March 2024. In the winter flight schedule, some destinations to which this airline operated during the summer season have disappeared, so you can no longer fly directly from Zagreb to Corfu, Kos and Thessaloniki in Greece, Sofia in Bulgaria, Brindisi in Italy, Podgorica in Montenegro, Bratislava in Slovakia, Malmö in Sweden and Manchester in the United Kingdom.

According to the representatives of Ryanair, from April 2022 to the end of March 2023, flights of that airline in both directions, to and from Zagreb, traveled 1,2 million passengers or 22 percent more than in the previous fiscal year. Approximately the same growth is expected by the end of March 2024, the low-cost airline announced.

Ryanair's plan is to have six aircraft based in Zagreb in the next few years and to carry about 5 million passengers to or from Zagreb.
