Cycling tours are a real opportunity to experience the beauty and diversity of Istria, a region that offers something for everyone and a great way to enjoy the spring weather, meet new people, have fun and learn something new. You will not only improve your fitness and skills, but also your knowledge of this unrivaled region.

Limes Bike & Family Tour is a bicycle tour in which children older than 14 years can also participate. Join us on Saturday, 27. May, the start and finish are in front of the Saline Sports Hall in Vrsar, a picturesque town rich in history with an enchanting view of the sea and 18 islets. The gathering is from 8:30, and the ride starts at 10:00.
The track includes even 50.1 km and passes through the Kontija forest, a protected area with a variety of animal and plant life, especially the white hornbeam that is more than 140 years old. The highlight of the tour is the Lim Bay, a 12 km long bay that resembles a fjord and where oyster and mussel farms are located. The tour also stops at a wonderful viewpoint above the Pirate's Cave, a mysterious cave that was once a gathering place for pirates and smugglers.

Children from 8 to 12 years old we invite you to participate in the accompanying event, Saline Polygon Bike Race, which consists of a closed loop race on the grassy area next to the hall and lots of guided fun and games – also from 8:30 onwards.
If you like gastronomy as well as cycling, Istria also offers Weekend Bike & Gourmet Tour, a two-day recreational and gourmet event that takes place 20. and 21. May. We combine the Mare trail along the coast and the Monti trail through the interior. On the Mare trail you will enjoy seafood delicacies, while the Monti trail will offer you the gastronomic delicacies of the Istrian hinterland.

On May 20, the Mare trail departs from the parking lot of the Eden Hotel Sports Center in Rovinj. This path follows the coast and reaches beautiful views of the Lim Bay. You will visit, among others, Stancija Meneghetti, a historic estate that produces award-winning wines and olive oils, and Fort Forno, a 19th-century fortress that once guarded the port of Rovinj. You will taste fresh seafood and local specialties prepared by top chefs at gourmet spots. The Mare trail is 62,6 km long and has a height difference of 509 m.
On May 21, the Monti trail departs from the center of Kanfanar. This path goes through the interior and reveals the rich Istrian cultural and natural heritage. We will stop at Dvigrad, picturesque Svetvinčent, Štrika ferata and many other places. At gourmet spots, we will enjoy delicacies from the Istrian hinterland such as truffles, cheeses, prosciutto and pasta. The Monti trail stretches for 53 km and has a height difference of 561 m.

They are suitable for different types of bikes, such as mountain, electric or trekking bikes, and different levels of fitness and experience. To participate, register at outdoor@maistra.hr or in person at the departure point on the day of the event. We also provided a professional guide and companion, as well as meals and drinks at rest areas.
The organizers and initiators of this project are the Tourist Boards of the municipality of Vrsar, the city of Rovinj, the municipalities of Bale, Svetvinčenat and Kanfanar, the Association of Craftsmen of the City of Rovinj, and Maistra.
