The film about Plitvice Lakes, Karlovac and Lika-Senj counties will be watched by Germans, Austrians and Swiss

The beauties of the Plitvice Lakes National Park and the destinations of Karlovac and Lika-Senj counties will be shown through a promotional film “My destination” in the markets of Germany, Austria and Switzerland which cover a speaking area with more than 110 million inative speakers.

In cooperation with the Karlovac and Lika-Senj County Tourist Boards and the Plitvice Lakes National Park, investments have been made to promote the destination through a unique promotional film format where famous German actor Oliver Hörner will show the most beautiful corners of the two counties.

Director of the Plitvice Lakes National Park Tomislav Kovačević said that German guests are the most numerous visitors in the Plitvice Lakes National Park as well as in the entire region. He emphasized that we are in a destination that has entered the top 100 world sustainable destinations and that German guests are known for their responsibility towards nature and the environment and are always welcome guests.

The film is co-produced by Croatian Pointers travel and Berlin's Blue Planet, which has made numerous promotional films in more than 70 world destinations in its more than two decades. It will be broadcast live on DACH (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) markets, but also beyond, and on some of the most watched TV channels such as N-TV, Apple TV, Samsung TV Plus, Amazon Prime on Demand, Anixe, RTL-Mediathek-online and others.

It will be broadcast at least 40 times on eight TV stations, which guarantees excellent reach. Famous German actor Oliver Hörner He said that this was his fifth promotional film in Croatia for the German market and that Plitvice Lakes and the Lika-Senj and Karlovac County Tourist Boards were full of beautiful places that were very interesting to the German market. The general public knows him primarily as a flight mechanic Jan Wolcke in the ZDF series "Rescue Pilots". In 2001, he played the young John Shiplay in the film adaptation of Rosamund Pilcher's Flowers in the Rain.

Director Blue planet Johannes Westerkamp said that he was delighted with castles, forests, rivers, lakes and that the interior itself is quite unknown to German tourists and he is extremely glad that we will show them all these beauties with this promotional film.

In the field Plitvice Lakes National Park shots will be taken at the most attractive locations such as Lake Kozjak, Lower Lakes, Veliki Slap, the location where Winnetou was filmed, the restaurant Lička kuća which is a combination of Lika and excellent gastronomy and Hotel Jezero which is a real gem of green vacation.

Plitvice Lakes National Park in combination with other destinations of these two counties will show all the beauty of this part of Croatia, which will certainly attract visitors from the DACH market to these areas.
