One of the largest German online travel media, TravelBook, suggested to its readers that they explore Trogir. Interestingly, editor-in-chief Angelika Pickardt in her article drew a parallel between Dubrovnik and Trogir. While Dubrovnik is cited as a city that is flooded with a large number of tourists every year, Trogir is presented as a little-known city that can easily compete with Dubrovnik in terms of beauty and sights.

– The city of Trogir is one of the most beautiful destinations in Croatia and, along with Dubrovnik, the city in Dalmatia with the most sights. The old town, located on an island, was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1997, because the old town has preserved an almost uninterrupted urban tradition. The Cathedral of St. Lawrence from the 13th century and the Kamerlengo fortress from the 15th century immediately catch the eye., points out TravelBook, adding that Trogir is only a few kilometers from the much larger Split.

With the obligatory note that scenes from the film were filmed in a Dominican monastery in the middle of the old town. Game of Thrones, numerous landmarks of Trogir are also highlighted. The 13th-century Rector's Palace is mentioned, as well as many buildings that are 200 years younger, including the city gate and the remains of the city wall, and the style of the houses seems almost entirely historical.

– On the one hand, it is worth walking through the narrow streets of the old town, almost car-free, where you can discover small, ancient chapels and small exhibitions. On the other hand, the wide promenade overlooking the marina is very attractive. There are also many restaurants there, writes Pickardt, and also suggests a visit to the historic market located on the eastern edge of the old city center, where the Cathedral of St. Lawrence is also located.
