The Tourist Board of the Municipality of Jelsa presented the first vegetarian cookbook of the island of Hvar, by the author Dominka Juzbasic. This cookbook is the result of many years of research, passion for food and the island of Hvar, and will surely delight lovers of the rich flavors of our famous tourist destination.
The cookbook was officially presented last week, and in the extensive edition you can find numerous interesting recipes for salad of roasted eggplant, peppers and fresh figs with pomegranate molasses and capers, polenta with tomatoes roasted in olive oil, and a crispy pie made of goat's cheese and spinach and quince.
At the promotion, tastings of dishes from the cookbook were organized, which gave the attendees the opportunity to taste the variety of flavors of the island of Hvar. The vegetarian cookbook of the island of Hvar contains 34 recipes with photos Dorian Šipus, and includes dishes prepared with wild herbs and spices from Hvar, various soups, refreshing salads, delicious main dishes and tempting desserts.
