The town of Cres will also this summer, from 27 to 29 June 2025, to host a unique open-air convention Isle of Wonders. This festival brings together the worlds of imagination, art, history and community. After last year's edition delighted thousands of visitors, the new chapter brings an even richer program, spectacular performances and international guests. Among them is the actor Jed Brophy (Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit) who fulfills the promise of a return – with new surprises.
Cres will once again become a magical stage where walkers through the streets of the old town will encounter bards, knights, artists and heroes from the most famous fantasy worlds. The festival offers a range of educational and entertainment content - from workshops, performances, board games, exhibitions and concerts, to a charity auction of unique illustrations.

Wizards, elves and knights will have their hands full on Cres this year too! After saving the town of Cres from the kraken last June, the brave adventurers woke up – a dragon along the way. This exciting story becomes the introduction to the second Isle of Wonders. The festival will turn Cres into an unforgettable island open-air convention for fans of fantasy worlds.
The festival has been announced. spectacular trailer filmed on the island, which in just a few days captured the attention of thousands of viewers and delighted fantasy fans. Isle of Wonders promises three days of rich programming that will take place throughout the city.
And while bards compose poems, scribes compose stories, knights polish armor, and artists build sculptures, Isle of Wonders remains true to its mission: connecting the worlds of imagination with the historic core of the town of Cres which will take on a whole new dimension during the festival. The city will be transformed into a magical stage, where elements of fairy tales, history, folklore and modern pop culture intertwine.
Within the walls of Moise Palace, under the Cres Tower, on the narrow streets of the old town and picturesque squares, famous writers, actors, musicians, artists, master craftsmen, knights and costumed heroes from the most famous film and literary sagas will parade. Among them are renowned illustrators from all over the world who will draw the motifs for which they are famous. On the last day of the festival, the unique drawings will be offered at a charity auction, the proceeds of which will be intended for the Cres Home for the Elderly.
Isle of Wonders in Cres for all generations
The organizers from the Cres-based Realms Long Forgotten association announce the Isle of Wonders as the epicenter of fantasy and imagination. It will be a place where everyone, from children to adult visitors, can find a space to play, learn and explore fantastic worlds. Such a large event that encompasses the entire city means that all locals participate in it. Thus, a presentation was recently held at which the team from Realms Long Forgotten presented the new edition of the festival to its fellow citizens, which is making Cres even more recognizable.
A rich program inspired by the worlds of imagination is still in the works. However, it is known that visitors will be able to participate in workshops on fencing, archery, handicrafts and miniatures. In addition, they will be able to play popular board games, try their hand at thematic quizzes, visit exhibitions inspired by fantasy, support their favorites in the cosplay competition, watch artistic performances and enjoy evening concerts by musical groups. Among other things, the audience will be able to dance to the rhythms of the popular Rijeka band Belfast Food.
He is returning to the Isle of Wonders and Jed Brophy, an actor known for his roles in The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, and the Rings of Power series.
