This year, the island of Cres proudly celebrates a great anniversary – 180 years of tourism, and the big celebration will take place on Sunday, June 1, 2025The rich program will take visitors on a unique journey through space and time, through the story of people, customs, sea and music – through the story of Cres – with the Cres Time Machine, the opening of the "Creski kaić" interpretation center and a concert by Jelena Rozga.
The program will start at 17 p.m. The Cres time machine, a unique interpretive walk through the history of the city, in which the streets and squares will bring to life characters and stories from ancient times. Visitors will have the opportunity to step into the past and meet former merchants, fishermen, miners, craftsmen and other characters from Cres' everyday life, as well as prominent historical figures who have marked the island's cultural and intellectual heritage.
After the Cres Time Machine, the grand opening will follow at 20 p.m. Interpretation Center "Creski kaić", dedicated to the maritime heritage of the island of Cres. The new center is located in the heart of the town and tells the story of Cres shipbuilding, traditional wooden ships, maritime skills and life by the sea.
The Cres celebration evening ends in style – with a musical program starting at 21 p.m. The first warm-up is with the band Macaklini, and after them, for the first time on the island of Cres, one of the region's most popular musicians will take to the stage – Jelena rozga, which will make the whole of Cres dance with its hits and round off this great day of celebrating tourism, togetherness and tradition.
The very next day, Monday, June 2nd, the event begins on Cres "Creski kaić", dedicated to Cres' maritime heritage and tradition. This popular event, which runs until June 7th, will once again bring lots of great entertainment and events this year, such as regattas of traditional sailing vessels, brudetijade, card tournaments, bocce, Mori cantada, spearfishing and angling, lectures and exhibitions, and cooking of traditional gastronomic delicacies inspired by the seaThe event is also followed by excellent music program who lead Groovers and Shajeta.

At the end of June, Cres is once again transformed into an island of wonders thanks to fantasy festival “Isle of Wonders”. Wizards, elves and knights will once again rule Cres from June 27th to 29th, transforming the entire old town of Cres into a large stage where elements of fairy tales, history, folklore and modern pop culture intertwine. Among the walls of the Moise Palace, under the Cres Tower, on the narrow streets of the old town and picturesque squares, famous writers, actors, musicians, artists, master craftsmen, knights and costumed heroes from the most famous film and literary sagas will parade.
