Lastovo from the air: See beautiful shots of the Lastovo archipelago

Little by little and week by week, the documentary series "Oči sokolove" has reached its eighth episode. This time, we will get to know it better from the air. Lastovo and the Lastovo Islands.

Let us recall, "Oči sakolove" is a series that takes us through ten Croatian regions – all from a bird's eye viewThe aerial footage is accompanied by a unique narration by contemporary Croatian writers, who wrote texts inspired by individual regions for the series, stories of people talking about their homeland, and traditional music.

Every episode explores the region through all seasons, bringing landscapes of rivers, mountains, lakes, islands, historical buildings as well as dynamic urban centers. In addition to natural beauties, we also get to know the local people and traditions that shape the identity of each region.

Flight over the Lastovo Islands is the title of the eighth installment of the documentary series Falcon's Eyes, and it is scheduled for Tuesday, March 18th on HRT's First Channel at 20:40 PM.

What Lastovo looks like from the air

The ancient Romans called it the imperial island, and legend has it that even Odysseus visited it on his travels through the Mediterranean. Lastovo. This mysterious archipelago of incomprehensible beauty and the most beautiful sky in this part of Europe is the hidden pearl of the Adriatic Sea.

The journey through this mysterious archipelago begins at the islet of GlavatAerial footage shows Croatian long-distance swimmer Dina Levačić there, who, by swimming around Glavat and the remaining 103 Croatian islands, islets and reefs, wants to raise citizens' environmental awareness of the importance of keeping the Adriatic Sea clean.

The episode also features stunning aerial footage. Lastovo Islands Nature ParkAlexandra Carol Horvat, the chief ranger of the Lastovo Islands Nature Reserve, will introduce us to the unique flora and fauna of this southern pearl.
