Plitvice Lakes have been declared a national park "as an area of special natural beauty" April 8, 1949. This date is marked as the birthday of the Plitvice Lakes National Park.
The unique values of this area have been recognized by UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. Thirty years after the proclamation of the Plitvice Lakes National Park it is listed on the World Heritage List.
To celebrate its 73rd birthday, Plitvice Lakes National Park has prepared special ticket prices for you during the birthday week. So, from 4 to 10 April the ticket price for adults is 80 kuna, students 50, and for children from 7 to 18 years 30 kuna. Admission is free for children up to the age of seven and people with special needs with a disability of over 50%.
From April 1, electric boats and panoramic trains will start running, and they are also on offer lake tour programs.
