XV. The Učkar samaj will be held on Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Poklon Pass in the Učka Nature Park, from 10 a.m. to 20 p.m.
Učarski samanj is the largest fair of traditional products of Istria and Kvarner. This year, the fair will include an exhibition-sales, cultural-entertainment, catering, children's and educational program. The entertainment program will be led by the legendary Koktelsi, while the Anelidi group will entertain visitors on the terrace of the Planinski bar in the afternoon.
Na exhibition and sales stands more than 50 producers and associations will present their products, services and crafts. In this part of the fair, visitors will be able to learn about the traditional making of autochthonous musical instruments, iron forging, making wooden figurines, mushroom growing, the cultural heritage of Lovran, and a special attraction this year will be the corral with autochthonous animals: boškarina, pramenka sheep, tovars and cows.
Sales section the fair will include a rich offer of local producers, and among other things, the stands will sell various dairy, meat and cured meat products, honey, fruit, brandies and liqueurs, wines, craft beers, teas, jams, natural cosmetics, homemade cakes, chocolates, fritters…
Hospitality part the fair will offer traditional gastronomic specialties at three locations - at the Poklon parking lot, next to the Poklon Mountain Lodge and on the terrace of the Mountain Bar in the Poklon Visitor Center.
During the entire duration of the fair, visitors will be able to enjoy the rich cultural and entertainment program, in two locations. On the main stage, the program will be led by Robert Ferlin, and the KUD Zlatela, Ethno group Šćike, Network of PP Učka schools and COCKTAILS.
It will be fun too Poklon Visitor Center, more precisely on the terrace of the Planinski bar, where the group will take care of the cheerful atmosphere Annelids. In addition to the entertainment program, visitors to CZP Poklon can also expect an interesting lecture "Climber's Records" by a famous alpinist, writer, photographer, cinematographer and director - Stipe Christmas, starting at 14.30:XNUMX p.m.
Children's program this year, it will take place in the forest setting of the Nature Classroom, where the youngest visitors can expect the children's play "The Magic Flute" performed by the Rijeka City Puppet Theatre. The performance will take place in two times, at 11.30 am and 12.30 pm.
Traffic through Učka will, as in previous years, take place during the fair in one direction - from the direction of Istria towards Kvarner. From 9 a.m. to 21 p.m., special traffic regulation will take place on the section of road D-500 from the toll booth "Čvor Vranja" to the junction/crossing with road ŽC-5047, and further on the section ŽC-5047 near the western portal of the Učka tunnel from Istria sides to Veprinec.
The company BINA Istra this year also provided all visitors with a sponsored price of the tunnel fee of EUR 1,50, and all information on how to use the lower price of the tunnel is available at the website of the Učka Nature Park.
In addition to the car, it is also possible to get to the fair by bus. For visitors of the XV. Učkarski samnja has been organized an extraordinary transport by free bus from Opatija. The departure will be every 30 minutes from the Slatina station in the period from 9.30:18 a.m. to 11 p.m., and the return from Poklon will be from 20 a.m. to XNUMX p.m.
Traditional hiking trip will not be absent this year either, so all those who want to come to Poklon on foot can join the Knezgrad and Opatija hiking associations on a hiking trip from Lignj to Poklon. The hike starts at 10 a.m., and the planned arrival at Poklon is around 13 p.m.
