Days of Honey "Golden Bee" is rich and the oldest honey manifestation in Croatia. It is a place to connect beekeepers, exchange experiences and enrich the gastronomic offer with propolis, flower powder and honey.

This year, the event is being held for the 24th time and lasts two days. As part of the fair, a honey quality assessment will be organized, 159 samples have been submitted, which will be ceremonially presented with plaques of recognition and awards after analysis at the Faculty of Agriculture in Zagreb. This year, honey in the Sisak-Moslavina County will be assessed in eight categories (chestnut, acacia, flower honey, trušljika, honeydew, amorpha, linden and mint). Last year, out of 112 honey samples, there were 31 gold, 49 silver and 28 bronze, 4 certificates of appreciation, and the best were awarded six golden bees.
This year, in addition to the sales exhibition, there will be expert lectures, both for guests and for the residents of Topusko and the Topusko Municipality, on the use of honey in the service of health. Along with various tastings of and with honey, the use of honey in gastronomy will also be promoted. This project aims to interpret the values of the quality of honey and its products for customers. Thus, this event also complements the tourist offer of the Topusko Municipality and the Sisak-Moslavina County.

For the 24th birthday of this long traditional manifestation, international exhibitions of beekeeping products and equipment will be held with over 30 exhibition stands, as well as international lectures where, year after year, beekeepers strive to achieve better and more innovative results in their apiary and improve beekeeping in their region.

There will also be a lecture for the youngest – “Growing up with honey”, where children from the Topusko Kindergarten and students from the V. Nazor Topusko Elementary School will learn something about bees themselves, participate interactively and win special prizes. A honey breakfast will also be organized for them, and the children will entertain the audience with songs, dances and recitation performances.

For numerous visitors to the Honey Days event “Golden Bee” it will be an opportunity to purchase honey, propolis and other honey products. Sisak-Moslavina County is the first in the Republic of Croatia in terms of the number of beekeepers (869) and the number of hives (49). Their beekeepers have won numerous awards and recognitions at European and world competitions.
It remains to be seen who will be this year's Golden Bee winners and who will be the best of the best – the ace champion!
