The public institution “Velebit Nature Park” proudly announces Zavratnica Trail 2025, a unique trail race that will take place on April 12, 2025 in the beautiful town of Jablanac. This race takes runners through one of the most beautiful natural beauties in Croatia – the Zavratnica Bay, where challenge and spectacular landscapes come together.
The race starts in the center of Jablanac and runs along the tourist trail in the direction of Zavratnica Bay for 1,6 kilometers. From the deepest point of the bay, from the house, the next 1,3 kilometers of the trail climbs along a newly renovated hiking trail and exits at Vidikovac, which offers a beautiful view of Zavratnica Bay itself, and Vidikovac is also the first checkpoint with refreshments. The race continues back along the same route towards the bottom of the bay and continues two kilometers to the turnoff for Kula, which is the second checkpoint. From Kula, the race participants return along the same trail to Jablanac and the finish line, one kilometer long.
The total The race length is six kilometers., and competitors can enter in two age categories. In the Adults category participants over 15 years of age will perform, and there is also Children's race for those under 14. The start of the race is announced at 10 am, and The entry fee is 10 euros.Prizes or gift certificates will be awarded for the first three places in both categories.
