Last weekend was full of events in Poreč. It all started with the opening of the event The wine town of Poreč in the magical setting of the most beautiful city park Olga Ban. The beloved Wine Festival, which is organized for the first time this year in Poreč, from September 19 to 29, becomes a wine stage for many top wines, both Istrian, Croatian and foreign. In addition to the wine offer, visitors can also enjoy the gastronomic offer such as President plata cheese, Poli dog, and street food creations of Međimurski chicken.
Cocktail house by Roto dinamic and Lillet will take care of those who are still not into wine, offering top quality cocktails, and Erdinger offering beer. Jukebox.hr is responsible for the great atmosphere every day with the background music, and the DJ will additionally warm the atmosphere on weekends. The festival's opening hours are from 19 p.m. to 1 a.m.
On Friday, the last edition of the year was held at the city market Goshti Mercata organized by the utility company Usluga Poreč. The central attraction of the event was the roasting of a heifer weighing 270 kilograms, which was prepared all night in front of the market. As always, portions were distributed free of charge to visitors. Local winemakers Brčić and Terzolo presented their products at the last edition of Gušta Merkat, and the Poreč brewery Bura Brew offered special specialties for beer lovers.
On Saturday, the penultimate event was held in Zelena laguna in Poreč, 5th round of the Istra Cup in show jumping, organized by KK Philipos Poreč and with the support of the City of Poreč-Parenzo. The beautiful weather brought together a large audience and competitors, and little spectators and horse lovers had the opportunity to ride horses on the beautiful Zelena Laguna during the tournament under the professional guidance of equestrian club members.
The first recreational bicycle race Poreč Loves Bike on the occasion of European Car Free Day, it gathered around two hundred participants of all generations.
