Forbes magazine is one of those that often publishes different lists of the best, the richest, the most beautiful... To be in an American magazine that is said to be one of the most successful business magazines in the world is a matter of prestige, and a good advertisement for anyone who is on one of the lists , especially in the world of businessmen.
In one such list under the title "Where to eat: 10 favorite restaurants for 2022." Portuguese journalist Ann Abel published her list of favorite restaurants she visited last year. Among the European destinations, there was also a restaurant from Croatia, specifically Novigrad.
Istria is famous for truffles, olive oil, wine, cheese and fresh fish, and the latter is the reason why restaurant Damir & Ornella found on the prestigious list. Abel describes it as an unpretentious restaurant in a charming fishing village turned resort.
- It is the only place in the area (perhaps even on the entire Adriatic) that is so convinced of the quality of its food that it does not have a terrace by the sea, the Forbes journalist points out and adds that the owners welcome guests who like good food, and the local host simply told her "This is Istria".
The restaurant has long been known primarily for its fish delicacies, and this is not the first time it has been included in one of the best lists. Along with the Istrian restaurant Damir & Ornela on the Forbes list of TOP 10 favorites, most of them are from Portugal, and there are also restaurants from Spain, Turkey, Ibiza, Sweden, Morocco and Germany.
