Last year's premiere edition of the event Camino Imota weekend it attracted a large number of pilgrims from Croatia and abroad. Croatia thus received another section of this most famous network of pilgrimage routes.

This year's Camino Imota weekend, or organized pilgrimage stock Croatian Network of Roads of St. Jacob, will be held from Friday, April 22 to Sunday, April 24, 2022.
An ideal opportunity for everyone who wants to feel at least part of this special "Camino experience", test their condition before embarking on one of the longer Camino routes, discover a new section of Camino through Croatia as well as those who want to remember their Camino experience.
With organized guidance of pilgrims, you will have the opportunity to discover the rich heritage of the Imotski region, listen to the Camino testimonies, strengthen yourself spiritually, learn what connects Croatia with the pilgrimage of St. Jacob, as well as try the local "wine tinto".
- The interest in this year's edition of the Camino Imota weekend is higher than last year. Mostly smaller groups are applying, and so far we already have more than 150 interested. In the past year, we have marked the trail even better, and soon we will issue a map on which the sights of this region will find their place, said the director of the Imotski Tourist Board, Luka Kolovrat.
It was launched two days ago Camino Imota mobile application for android and iOS. It will certainly contribute to even greater interest in this event, because in addition to the route itself, it offers pilgrims a number of necessary but also interesting information.
On the first day of the Camino Imota weekend, April 22, there will be a 15-kilometer walk, from Cista Velika to Lovreć. The next day it's the route's turn Lovreć - Proložac 27 kilometers long, and this year's Camino Imota weekend ends with another 27-kilometer route, Proložac - Imotski.
Camino Imota passes by extremely interesting sacral buildings, but also important sites of natural and cultural heritage. At a total of 12 sites, there are commemorative stamps for pilgrimage passports as proof of travel. Everyone with a completed pilgrimage passport in the office of the Imotski Tourist Board can get a certificate of the pilgrimage - Compostela.
