A pair of worn-out sneakers, trampled childhood memories. They once ran, jumped, raced through puddles, were part of someone's adventure. Maybe they raced down a hill, jumped over streams, waded through mud, leaving traces of carefreeness behind them.

And now they lie alone, abandoned on the cold concrete, covered in dirt and oblivion. Are they just waste? Or have they become a story, a picture of a life that goes on without them?
Nature does not choose what people throw into it. The objects we leave behind once had a purpose, once they were someone's little world. And now they are part of the landscape, unwanted witnesses of human carelessness. But can the rejected, abandoned and forgotten become art through the lens?

Can waste have a soul and end up framed on someone's living room wall? Are we looking at ruins or traces of someone's existence? Adventures that have ended or those that have yet to be told?
This series of photographs brings scenes of what we leave behind. Is it just trash or untold stories? Are they images of decay or reminders of transience? And finally – if something is beautiful enough for a lens, is it still trash?
