There's another one at the door Bašća summer a lot of fun, culture and music that, in the warm summer months and under the starry sky, will provide great entertainment for visitors and locals. We find out what is on the schedule for the weekend ahead.
As part of the summer events, yoga trainings started last week and continue throughout the summer. These are free yoga trainings held every Tuesday and Thursday from 8 am. The venue is a park next to the Zvonimir Sunny Hotel by Valamar. The trainings are intended and adapted for everyone, regardless of age or physical condition, and all you need to participate is a mat and comfortable clothes. Set aside time just for yourself and with light stretching exercises and breathing techniques, supply your body with oxygen, revitalize it and start your everyday life rested. Participation is free, and yoga trainings, in Croatian and English, are held by a licensed yoga teacher, Marija Skorić.
The exhibition "Priority Discoveries" by Rijeka photographer Rebeka Legović has been set up in the Zvonimir Gallery. Rebeka Legović started her photography career in 2010, and currently devotes herself mostly to fashion and conceptual photography, as well as architecture. Her works are recognizable for their unusual minimalistic compositions, which achieve a special timeless metaphysical atmosphere. The works have been awarded several times with prestigious international awards. The exhibition, curated by Borislav Božić, can be viewed until July 5.
An attractive exhibition of the Friends of the Sea project, this year under the name "The island of Krk - a heritage experience", is visiting Baška from June 30 to July 14.
Krk is an island with an extremely rich cultural and historical heritage that should be experienced, with cultural monuments dating from prehistoric times to the present day. Thirty outdoor exhibition panels, located on an attractive promenade by the sea, will take us on a unique visual journey, showing us shots that are definitely worth seeing live. Along with the display of each destination, on the exhibition board visitors will be able to connect with the parent tourist community to which the photo belongs via a QR code, making sightseeing even more interesting and multimedia.
Musical nights under the stars: Zoran Majstorović Trio
This trio bases its repertoire on original compositions by band leader Zoran Majstorović and on compositions famous authors of jazz music such as M. Davis, T. Monk, J. Coltrane, H. Hancock and others. The best of the jazz trio's sound can always be heard in their inspired performances. Baška will enjoy jazz notes on Friday, June 30 from 21 p.m. on Vela Riva near the green lighthouse.
Zoran Majstorović it's Croatian multiple award-winners jazz and ethno guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, arranger, composer and producer. In more than 25 years of public musical activity, he participated in the recording of many albums and compilations in various musical genres, published books of transcriptions and played at many jazz and ethno festivals around the world.
Famous actors in Baška
The Tourist Board of Baška municipality and Baška Beach Camping Resort by Valamar traditionally invite fans of small scenes to the new season of theater performances "Famous actors in Baška".
It's first a romantic comedy about love, memory and delusion in three acts – Hotel Nostalgia.
The first act presents a married couple who meet on their 35th wedding anniversary in the same apartment where they spent their first wedding night. The second act involves the meeting of the film producer and his youthful love. They were in a relationship when they were young, but life separated them. The third story revolves around a married couple who marry their daughter. The plot begins when she locks herself in a room because she doesn't want to get married.
Due to unstable weather, the show has been announced "Nostalgia" is switched from Saturday to Sunday. The show will take place 02.07.2023. at 21 p.mIn Baška Beach Camping Resort, and the entrance is free for everyone.
Evenings of klapa songs: promenade performance of klapa Zvonimir
An essential part of Baška's tourist offer are the promenade performances of the klapa, which will brighten up the Sunday evenings of klapa songs in the smaller streets and squares in the old part of Baška this summer, thus delighting intentional or accidental passers-by.
Motivated by the love for klapa singing and socializing, the klapa "Zvonimir" was founded at the end of 2005 in Baška, and today it has six members and will perform on Sunday, July 02 in 20:30 at the Palada location and the old town. The repertoire of this klapa includes songs of coastal and Dalmatian melos sung a cappella, as well as songs of fun content accompanied by guitar and mandolin.
