It is interesting that the Vrelo Cave, located about three kilometers from Fužine, discovered quite by accident half of the last century. In the XNUMXs, a dam and a road were built around the Bajer reservoir, and the building material, i.e. stone, was quarried in the area around the Vrelo Cave.
Vrelo Cave - a destination for all generations
Although it is only about 300 meters long, it captivates with its beauty and wealth of cave decorations, stalactites and stalagmites. As it is one of the few or even the only one in Europe, without stairs, it is easily accessible to people with disabilities and all ages of visitors. It is safe to say that the Vrelo Cave is fully adapted to visitors, who are not lacking during the year.

Another interesting thing about Vrelo is the fact that there is a beautiful cave in the cave mountain spring, lake and abyss. And it is water that gives this attraction its special value and attractiveness. In the rainy months, a mountain stream floods the cave. Due to the combination of beautiful colors and content in such a small area, the Vrelo Cave is often called i "Stable in small". The cave was arranged for visits and restored with new lighting and a footpath with bridges in 1998.
Behind the road, ie the tourist section, at the end of the cave is located a buried room about 500 meters long, which is closed to visitors. Namely, according to some theories, the collapse of that part of the cave was caused by a large amount of water flowing through it or by earthquakes that occur underground.
