This visually spectacular documentary series took us on a journey through ten Croatian regions – all from a bird's eye view. The aerial footage is accompanied by unique narration by contemporary Croatian writers, who wrote texts inspired by the individual regions for the series, stories of people talking about their homeland, and traditional music.

From north to south, east to west of Croatia, we were introduced to the beauty and culture of the inhabitants of Baranja, Slavonia, Međimurje, Karlovac County, Istria, Gorski Kotar, the island of Pag, the Neretva Delta, Imotska Krajina and the Lastovo Islands. Each episode explored the region through all seasons, bringing landscapes of rivers, mountains, lakes, islands, historical buildings as well as dynamic urban centers.

In addition to the natural beauty, we met the local people and traditions that shape the identity of each region. The series connected the past and the present, nature and culture, through an emotional story about a country rich in historical and natural treasures, told from a celestial perspective.

We will also see what the spring procession of the queen or ljelje in Gorjani near Đakovo looks like from the air. This is a custom of the procession on the feast of Pentecost in which the queens are dressed in festive costumes with decorated hats or crowns and hold sabers in their hands. Dressed in this way, they go around the village and perform a ritual consisting of swordplay and singing. This custom was registered as Croatian cultural heritage in 1966, and in 2009 it was also registered on the UNESCO list of intangible world heritage in Europe.
