Namely, in order to further present Mljet's natural beauty to outdoor enthusiasts, the Tourist Board of the municipality of Mljet at the end of last year began implementing a project to update and create a network of bicycle routes on the island. Designers Lidija and Boris Mišćin proposed new cycling routes that include GPX records and technical data of routes. At the beginning of this year, the routes were consolidated on the newly created bicycle maps, which were printed in three language variants.
The cycling maps represent eight cycling routes
Six circular and two linear routes, presented on the map, are guided by an interesting network of local asphalt and macadam roads. It is an opportunity to explore and get to know by bike or on foot the picturesque coastal places, bays with beaches, at the same time the rich history of the interior of the island with settlements, fertile fields, olive groves and marshes, panoramic points on the hills and passes, and the feeling of pristine wilderness and island wilderness in the vast mountains. and forest expanses of Aleppo pine and holm oak.

Mljet will now finally have unified cycling routes along the entire island. This will contribute to the development of cycle tourism and further enrich the tourist offer throughout the year. Bicycle tickets can be picked up free of charge at the office of the Tourist Board in Sobra.
