There is no lack of hiking trails and promenades in Istria, which is why our largest peninsula is one of the favorite a destination for lovers of active tourism. Labin and Rabac, cities are located in the eastern part of Istria, and in addition to the sun and sea, visitors can enjoy many cultural attractions, rich eno-gastronomic offer, outdoor activities and much more.

And it is precisely the diverse offer of outdoor activities that is one of the greatest assets of this part of Croatia. Natural beauties are accompanied by numerous legends and old buildings, and the whole story attracts quite a few walkers.
Of the numerous trails in the Labin area, two connect Labin and Rabac: Sentona's Path and the Path of Divine SourcesThese two trails, apart from their beauty, are also interesting because walkers can combine them, i.e. use one in one direction and the other in the other. So from Labin to Rabac you can head along the Divine Springs Trail and return along the Sentona Trail.

Senton's path
The trail was named after Labin, that is to the ancient goddess Liburna, occupant protectors. The length of the trail is 2,4 kilometers and can be circled in an hour or two, depending on the direction, uphill or downhill. The trail, which is only five minutes away from the sea, is not too demanding, and the height difference is 236 meters.

With a fresh scent of laurel and coastal pine, it reveals the most beautiful protected natural landscape of the Labin region. The goddess takes you back to your childhood and forgotten landscapes from your imagination. Fairy groves are intersected by streams and rapids over which seven bridges lead. The waterfalls of the Pećina stream overflow through winding travertine barriers, and a spring is hidden in the mysterious Negri cave. Spring waters used to move old mill whose remains are in ruins near the largest waterfall that flows into a turquoise lake in a stream valley in the Maslinica Bay.

The trail begins on the way out of the old town of Labin on the main road to Rabac, next to the office of the Tourist Board of the City of Labin. If you climb from the direction of Rabac, the trail starts at the Maslinica camp in Maslinica Bay.
The path of divine springs
The main theme of this trail, as you can deduce from its name, is the source, that is water as a source of life. Namely, the springs were once the source of Labin's life. The trail is long about three kilometers, and it is visited in two to two and a half hours.

The Šćurak spring in the area of Podvinje below the city walls was main city source, and its surroundings a large city garden to which women carried water in heavy brents. Wealthy noble families built well (wells) for collecting rainwater in the courtyards of their palaces. The houses in the village had their own chalice (bar) next to which was a large worked stone on which brenta was attached. The water supply network was brought to Labin in 1937, when the city fountain and the fountain on the San Marco promenade were built. In Kranjci, at weddings, it was customary for the bride and groom to come to the spring where the godfather would help her fill the brent, while the bride and groom threw money into the dungeon for the well-being of the marriage.
