The island of Ugljan is located in the Zadar archipelago, northwest of the island of Pašman and southeast of the islands of Rivanj and Sestrunj. Where to go swimming if you are on vacation in Ugljan?
South port beach
You will find the beach easily because it is located in a long bay, and you will immediately notice the golden sand that shimmers in the warm sun, as well as the smooth boulders that emerge from the sea and make this beach recognizable.
Additional advice: If you want to create the most beautiful photos, head to this beach at sunset. Boulders and golden sand will be an excellent backdrop for fantastic panoramas.
Thanks to the pine forest that surrounds it, you will have enough shade, and although the beach does not offer any additional facilities, it is very popular and teeming with visitors in the summer months.
Čeprljanda Bay
This small town on Ugljan got its name, it is believed, from a plant that the local population calls "Čeprlj". The plant blooms in spring and is characterized by long thin leaves with a fleshy shoot.
There is a concrete beach with a seabed that is partly sandy and partly rocky. You will find shade very easily, you are provided with a changing room and a shower, and there is also a restaurant nearby.
This beach is suitable for children, and in the immediate vicinity of the beach you will find a children's playground.
Batalaža Bay
Batalaža bay stretches from Zmorašnje to Južnje mul. The beach by the sea is pebbly and is ideal for all-day lazing and relaxing by the sea. She is surrounded rich nature and crystal clear sea, and is known for its peaceful atmosphere.
