International fair of construction, furnishing and decoration in Istria PromoArch, is set for a grand opening on Wednesday, September 18. During the three days of the fair, in Poreč's Žatika hall at 2.500 m2 internal and 500 m2 of the outdoor exhibition space, a record number of exhibitors will gather, more than 100 domestic, but also exhibitors from Slovenia, Italy, Austria, Germany, Serbia and the Czech Republic, with more than 250 global brands.
It is an opportunity for networking and contracting new jobs, but also a response to current challenges in the field of spatial planning and construction. – Every year, PromoArh hosts leading companies and brands from the construction sector and serves as an inspiration to all gathered. As the first fair of this kind in Istria, we are proud that we are growing year by year, and we offer the best of the profession to everyone gathered. It is extremely important for us to cultivate good relations with exhibitors, and the total number of visitors, which is more than four thousand, is a confirmation that construction fairs are a unique opportunity for researching the latest technologies and innovations, creating new business contacts and informal socializing, explains Ivana Štiković, director of the fair.
PromoArh exhibitors also agree that face-to-face contact is still crucial. According to research conducted during 2024, almost nine out of ten respondents believe that trade fairs are important for successfully making contacts with potential customers, and eight out of ten believe that exhibiting at fairs like PromoArh is important for expanding the network of business contacts. As an advantage of exhibiting at the fair, as many as 60 percent of respondents state that their participation so far has enabled them to create new business partnerships, and as additional benefits the increase in recognition on the market and the possibility of insight into market trends, while for 40 percent of them the main challenge in the profession is the lack of qualified labor strength.
The fair will be officially opened Dunja Magaš, State Secretary of the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, who will then hold a lecture on amendments to the Construction Act, followed by a lecture on New Generation Plans by the director of the Directorate for Information Systems Development and Digitalization, Danijelo Meštrić. In addition to the exhibition area, visitors can also expect Education point, the professional part of the fair, which during the three fair days brings more than 30 expert lectures, and gathers domestic and international experts in one place, and offers visitors and exhibitors the opportunity to exchange information, trends and ideas through seminars, workshops and interactive presentations.
The trainings are conducted in cooperation with the Ministry of Spatial Planning, Construction and State Property, the Croatian Chamber of Commerce - Pula County Chamber, the Chamber of Crafts of Istria County, the Cluster for Energy Efficiency and Sustainability in Buildings nZEB.hr, the Faculty of Architecture in Zagreb and the companies Baldinistudio and Arhigon. It is a unique opportunity to listen to lectures on the current topics of energy efficiency and sustainable construction, real estate, the creation of cost estimates and the application of BIM software to automate its creation, as well as the application of advanced 3D scanning technology.
The organizer of the PromoArh fair is Studio 053 from Poreč, which, since its establishment in 1989, has been responsible for the organization of numerous fair, cultural and entertainment, sports and congress events in the area of Istria.
