Slavonski banovac fair in Pakrac dedicated to one of the most beautiful European silver coins

Fair "Slavonski banovac" which has been held in Pakrac for 15 years, is one of the largest fairs and manifestations of this type in continental Croatia, and this year for the first time it will last for two days in Friday 11 and Saturday 12 October, with two great concerts and a lot of other entertainment.

This year too, the Fair will be held in Ulica Matice hrvatska, in the area around the Market Square and in the central square of Ban Jelačić, and will have an international character. The large and super attractive stage at the City Market will come alive already on Friday, when Maja Šuput, a singer known for her extraordinary energy, will entertain visitors from 20 p.m., so there is no doubt that there will be singing and dancing on Friday, October 11 in Pakrac.

On Saturday, October 12, starting at 10 a.m., visitors will be able to view, taste or buy goods and products presented by Fair participants at their stands. The central town square of Ban Josip Jelačić will offer a variety of interesting, fun and educational content for children and young people in the Children's Corner on Saturday morning, organized again this year by the Museum of the City of Pakrac and the City Library of Pakrac.

The official opening of the Fair with an appropriate program will be held at 13 p.m., and from 15 p.m. the traditional 9th ​​Grahfest will begin - a bean cooking competition organized this year by the Association of Craftsmen of Pakrac and Lipik. Judging is scheduled from 18 p.m., and the announcement of the best at 20 p.m.

Thanks to the craftsmen of Pakrac and Lipik, this year the Eno - gastronomic presentation of artisan associations and chambers of crafts from all over Croatia will also be organized at the Fair. The Croatian veterans of Pakrac and Lipik and their guests will present an attractive gastronomic offer, and they will also traditionally present their delicacies. members of national minorities who live and work in this area.

This year's Fair will also be an opportunity for visitors to have fun in the so-called Medieval Quarter with a rich offer of medieval content, and all participants will organize a parade through the city streets. Traditionally, members of the Pakrac-Lipik Historical Society will prepare delicacies "At the Boar's Head", the "Kuna" Archery Club will organize a medieval archery tournament, and the central "Battle for the Mint" will be held at 18 p.m. Visitors will have the opportunity to see live how the Slavonski banovac is minted, a coin that was minted in Pakrac in the middle of the 13th century.

In the evening, from 21 pm on the central stage, visitors will be entertained by the timeless group Magazin, and this year's part of the Fair's offer will be the Museum of the City of Pakrac and the Museum of Military and War History, which will be open to interested visitors. This year, the fair is again organized by the City of Pakrac, in co-organization with the Association of Craftsmen of Pakrac and Lipik, the Entrepreneurial Center Pakrac, the Local Development Agency PAK RA and the Tourist Board of the City of Pakrac, and in partnership with the Croatian Tourist Board.
