The natural beauties of the Krka National Park, which is famous for, are already well known to everyone a large number of lakes and waterfalls. But there are also in the Park two important sacral objects, which attract quite a number of visitors every year.

Our Lady's Island
Visovac islet is located on Visovačka lake. It has been on it since 1445 the Franciscan monastery of Our Lady of Mercy and the Church of Our Lady of Visovac, which with a beautiful landscape form a unique ambient whole. Visovac is one of the most important natural and cultural values of the Republic of Croatia.
Throughout turbulent history Visovac was and remains an island of peace and prayer, and the Franciscan monastery as a fortress of spirituality and faith, but also one of the key cornerstones of the survival of Croats and the preservation of Croatian national identity. The monastery has a significant archaeological collection, a collection of historical church clothes and utensils and a rich library with several valuable books and incunabula.

The center of worship of the Mother of God on Visovac is Our Lady's picture which the Franciscans, according to tradition, brought with them when they left Bosnia before the Turkish invasion and found a new refuge on Visovac. Due to the centuries-old veneration of the Mother of God, the island of Visovac itself is called Our Lady's Island.
Monastery of the Holy Archangel
It is located on a tame expansion of the Krka river called Constantinople Draga. It is located in the very middle of the canyon of the Krka river, and this part was named after him Aranđelovac. It was built on the foundations of an older, hermit monastery, and was first mentioned in written documents in 1402 as an endowment of Jelena Šubić.

Monastery of St. Arkhanđela is one of the most important spiritual centers of the Orthodox Dalmatian diocese, which is based in Šibenik. Next to it is a church that has the form of a Byzantine building with a dome. The bell tower was built in the Romanesque style.

Recently, a large building of the seminary was built, dedicated on July 8, 1989. Below the church are the ancient Roman catacombs, which are open to visitors. The monastery has a large and rich library with many historical manuscripts, incunabula and rare books.
