Which Croatian airport do you think is the busiest this year?

This September, Split Airport received and dispatched more than 328 thousand passengers, which is 253 thousand more passengers compared to the same month last year, but also 141 thousand fewer passengers compared to the record-breaking September 2019, according to Croatian Aviation which predicts that at the end of the year, Split Airport will deservedly take the title of the busiest Croatian airport.

This is supported by the fact that the Airport in the period from January to the end of September accepted and dispatched 1.363.413 passengers, which Zagreb is unlikely to achieve in the whole of 2021, and given the number of weekly operations and available lines, a significant number of passengers in Split is also expected in October.

By the end of 2021, Split will probably accept and ship more than 1,5 million passengers, according to Croatia Aviation, which is less than in 2019, when there were 3,3 million, but there is no doubt that Split is on the right track. on the road to recovery and how it will be again next year cross two million passengers.

Zagreb Airport generated less than 200.000 passengers in September

Despite the introduction of as many as 15 Ryanair routes, Zagreb Airport remained below 200.000 passengers in September, with 191 passengers passing through it, 092 more passengers than in September 125, and 2020 fewer passengers compared to the same month in 159. years, he writes Croatian Aviation.

Although the number of passengers is far higher than in the same month last year, a significant increase in the number of passengers was expected in September, solely because Ryanair introduced a number of international destinations in early September this year.

From January 1 to September 30 this year, almost 878 thousand passengers passed through Zagreb Airport, so it is expected that by the end of the year, Zagreb International Airport will accept and ship up to 1,2 million passengers.

More than 200.000 passengers passed through Dubrovnik Airport

Through Dubrovnik airport in September, 207.558 passengers passed, as many as 166 more passengers than in the same month last year. Compared to September 2019, 50% fewer passengers are working (there were 405.924 at the time). The largest share in traffic is made up of passengers from traditionally dominant emitting markets - Great Britain, the United States of America and France.

Given that Dubrovnik will be well connected to a number of European destinations in October, a significant increase in the number of passengers on a monthly basis is expected, and Dubrovnik Airport will approach the number of one million passengers by the end of this year.
